Junior School
Our Junior Years program is designed to support students as they transition into high school, develop a strong sense of self and build lasting connections with their peers, teachers and the wider community.
The Junior Years Leader works closely with our dedicated student managers to ensure every student in Years 7 and 8 are supported both academically, emotionally and socially. Students have access to the Reset Room in the Junior School office whenever they need a quiet space to take a break, refocus and re-engage with their learning.
Throughout Years 7 and 8, all students participate annually in the Big Sister and ManCave experiences, which focus on personal growth, respectful relationships and emotional wellbeing. We also offer a range of additional programs that are tailored each year to meet the needs of our students. These have included Brainstorm Productions, Banyule Youth Wellbeing & Self Care sessions and targeted Health Education programs.
At Macleod College, the Junior Years are a time for students to connect with their peers and the school community. It is a chance to taste different subjects before focusing in on their interests, and a time to build connections with their peers.
