Dear students, parents, guardians, carers and staff,

I am pleased to announce that Macleod College is the winner of the 2024 The Age newspaper "Schools that Excel" series (Government school in Melbourne North)

Although this award is given to the school which has shown consistent improvement in their VCE results over a 10 year period, the College has made significant improvement in all areas (achievement, attendance, wellbeing and engagement) from prep to year 12. 

Please see attached for an abridged version of the article along with some data (Year 7 to 12) which demonstrates some of the impressive results that we should all celebrate. Please note, for the purposes of this award, I have only included Year 7 to 12 data in this document.

This award is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at the school, and it is something that we should all be proud of.
 
A school is only as good as the people in it, and in this case, we are truly blessed!!
