2021 Enrolments now CLOSED

As one of Victoria’s first music schools, Macleod College Music Academy offers a very successful music program having won numerous awards. We pride ourselves on providing our community with talented and committed students, highly experienced teachers and supportive parents, Macleod College Music Academy is a safe and caring environment where students are valued and encouraged to express their talents and creativity.

Boasting some of Melbourne’s best teachers, Macleod’s status as a Music School allows us to provide not only high quality, but the best value for money program in the area. This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance your child’s learning experience through music performance and we highly recommend that all students in Year 7 take the opportunity to participate in the instrumental music program. In addition to dedicated lessons with an instrumental teacher, students will also be involved in targeted tutorial sessions during classroom music.

Macleod College Music Academy students are required to wear the Macleod College winter uniform to all performances.

Throughout the year students have many opportunities to participate in various activities including camps, excursions, performances & exams. There are 2 Music Camps which are very popular amongst our students: Generations in Jazz & the Annual Music Camp.

Along with selecting your preferred instrument we advise choosing a second instrument while filling in the Expression of Interest Form. This allows us to place you straight into your second choice if your first instrument is not available.

Only a small number of instruments are available for hire, these are offered on a first in best dressed basis.
