Music Camps

Camps and tours are a great way to rehearse our groups, meet new people and take our music out for others to hear.

Each year a rehearsal camp is held for our junior/intermediate groups and a separate camp is held for our senior groups. In recent years this has been held at ferngully lodge in Healesville, where students undertake rehearsal as well as activities that are designed to help build teamwork and leadership.

One of our great tours of the year is the Big Bands (link) tour to Mt Gambier for the Generations in Jazz competition in May. This involves 1700 students from around Australia gathering to perform jazz music over 3 days and is one of the great performance opportunities of the year.

In May 2007 both bands were awarded second prize in their national divisions. Click on the play button below to listen to a compilation of their performaces.
