World Challenge Expedition

Macleod College students will be travelling through Cambodia and Thailand with World Challenge Expeditions for four weeks, leaving in late November 2007.

Students will break the trip down into four phases: becoming familiar with their surroundings, helping a local community in any way they can, eg helping out a Cambodian Orphanage, trekking for 3 or 4 nights in the South East Asian Jungle, and kickin’ back on the beach in Thailand for a well deserved rest.

Students prepare for 18 months prior to leaving.  They spend many hours after school and on the weekends planning the trip to realise this vision, raising funds and meeting together in order to create an itinerary which will suit each individual within the group.

This trip is to be entirely student directed and the Macleod students are highly motivated, curious and willing to see what the world has to offer.  They will have gained some life long skills and unforgettable memories during the process.
