Managed Individual Pathways

The Managing Individual Pathways (MIPS) Program begins in Year 10 where students undertake a series of exploratory career exercises as they begin to map their pathways into further study, employment or training.
Students are immersed in a range of experiences to aid in the identification of future careers that match their interests, aptitude and skills.  This happens in group mentor sessions and during individual counselling with the Student Pathways Manager and mentor teachers.

The MIPs program continues into Year 11 and 12 where students’ individual MIPS plans are refined and tailored to take account of their evolving ambitions.

By providing our students with career planning tools, knowledge about the opportunities that exist for them outside of school and the confidence to chase their dreams, they develop life-long career competencies which will enable them to effectively manage life, learning and work.
