VCAL
- Macleod College offers the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) which is
an accredited hands-on course of study for Year 11 and 12 students.
- Choosing VCAL enables students to gain practical experience in the workplace,
employability skills and the skills to go onto further training in the workplace or at a
TAFE college.
- By providing three possible entry levels – Foundation, Intermediate or Senior –
VCAL can be tailored to suit each student’s needs, abilities and interests.
- Modules and units of study are selected from the four VCAL strands – Literacy and
Numeracy Skills, Industry Specific Skills, Work Related Skills and Personal
Development Skills. This ensures that students develop competency in the personal
skills that are important for life and work.
