At Macleod College we are proud of the academic achievements and personal qualities of our senior students.
VCE Results 2006
In 2006, 122 students completed Year 12.
6.6% of these students achieved an ENTER of 90 plus with a further 16.4% above 80. This placed a total of 23% of the students in Year 12 in the top 20% of VCE students in the state.
Dux of the school achieved an ENTER score of 98.40.
Destination of 2006 students
The success of our VCE program is highlighted by our destination data which indicates that 92% of our Year 12 students received a tertiary offer.

Initiatives to improve results
We run a regular study skills program which includes goal setting, motivation, conflict resolution, organisation and time management. The program aims to support the students in their learning so that they can achieve to their full potential.
VCE staff also run additional subject based study sessions and revision classes which include a trial examination period and a holiday tutorial program.
For those students who aim to achieve an ENTER score of higher than 80 students have initiated an 80+ club. This club provides additional support through active involvement in a mentoring program along with targeted individual and group tuition.
VCE Parent's Support
Macleod College has developed a number of initiatives to inform, support and unite parents of VCE students, recognising that collaboration between school, students and parents is an important key to student success.
Later Years staff have developed a series of VCE Parents' Information Booklets to help parents understand the VCE and lend support to their children in the form of study skills and healthy living tips.
Regular VCE Parents Information Evenings are held featuring guest speakers on pre-advertised topics.
Recently parents have initated the formation of a VCE Parents' Support Group. This group has developed a VCE parents' email list and, with the support of the VCE manager, regularly sends parents VCE related information.
