Auditions

A number of the ensembles in the Macleod program require students to undergo an audition.
These include:

Jazz Bands

Students undertaking these auditions are being selected for one of the three large jazz bands in the college. Big Band (senior), Bug Band (intermediate) and WeBop (junior).

Auditions take place in November and require students to perform a piece of music in a jazz style and demonstrate technical abilities through the performance of blues scales.

 
Senior Concert Band and String Orchestra

These auditions are conducted in March and require students to be of a standard of grade 3 or above. Students are required to present a piece of their own choice appropriate to this level.

Students interested in auditioning for these ensembles should write their names on the posted sheets or contact the music director at ziino.jason.a@edumail.vic.gov.au
