Lunchtime Club

When you walk into the conference room on any given lunchtime, you see Macleod kids of all ages immersed in a game of pool or classic board games, listening to the latest tunes played through the sound system and reading and chatting about the latest magazines.

From Preps to Year 12’s the conference room is always full of students at lunch, no matter if they are chatting away or serving their friends with drinks in the kitchen.

That is the first thing that I noticed, that it was my friends who were serving the drinks, playing DJ or game hosts; not teachers or other adults. With the help of support teachers the conference room is run entirely by students.

It gave me the opportunity to play cashier or server in the kitchen with my friends. It also gives you the chance to meet and talk to the primary school students. For the primary school it allows them to interact with the Big Kids.
